Women & Girls cricket at radyr
What we do
Radyr CC are very proud to have a thriving women and girls set up. Since the women’s team was formed in 2020 the club has gone from strength to strength to field two hardball league teams, a softball team, U13 and U15s girls only league teams. The club has worked tirelessly to promote womens cricket and growth offering space for the women to play alongside the men and boys teams.
Our success
In 2023 the Women’s hardball 1st XI were crowned winners of the South Wales womens premier league. In just their 3rd league season this was an incredible feat.
Impressively the Women’s hardball 2nd XI were runners up in their first season against new opposition in the First division.
The Women’s softball team won the Cardiff and Vale indoor cup and are looking forward to more success in 2024.
Train hard play hard
Senior training sessions start in the new year at Sophia Gardens and run throughout the summer at Radyr. Training consists of practising the key skills, bowling, batting and socialising. We are blessed with ECB level 2 coaches in house fully trained at delivering a high level of support in all discaplines!
